1. Lower your home's thermostat in winter to 68 degrees, and in summer to 78 degrees. You could save up to 10-15% on heating and cooling costs.

4. Use a power strip to turn off computers and electronic chargers when not in use and save $10 a year.
5. Use cold water rinse in the washer and match the water level to the load size to save more than $30 per year.
6. Use the moisture sensor setting on your clothes dryer and cut energy use by 15%.
